Play Super Mario Games: Original or Flash?
Today, there are thousand of Super Mario Toys around the world. Lots of manufacturing sites create these Mario Toys to please lots of people who share the same passion for Mario. Most of these Mario toys buyers are great players too. In fact, it is impossible not to keep in mind that the Super Mario (or just Mario) character is an universal video game icon since it was introduced by Nintendo around 1980. New Mario games have come one after the other ever since, each one being much like a sequel of the original game.
Nothing to be surprised about. As with any successful technological product, many variations of the original idea will follow. Mario Toys are among those product variations around the original Mario idea. But there are more.
One of the most surprising “variation” came along with technology, as well. Not only Mario survived newer technologies like computer gaming zone, 3-D effects, and open GL and network games, Mario distinguished itself because it is a different game genre. It does not required complicated strategy games, for example. This opened a whole new world for Mario: the new Flash Mario games.
So, Mario, besides being the most popular gaming character in games history, it became very popular in the field of flash games as well.
Needless to say, this caused to be two groups around Mario games. One is fully happy with the newer flash versions that allows the game to be side by side with newer and more advanced gaming environments (such as more levels, or “two-player mode”). The other group prefers the untouched original version of the game; they say flash games devalue the unique and irreplaceable version of the game. At this point, there is a debate going on between the two groups. Both share the same admiration for the game, but they don’t agree on how to go around that admiration.
The original version of Mario changed the gaming world and will continue having its own attraction. The new Flash Game versions, on their own side, will perpetuate it among old and new generations by opening up new ways for this game. We should all welcome them.
